rs8-2To those interested in Ford, and those who like doing there own mods you have to check this out. Ive seen this about 3 years ago and thought that it would be really neat. The idea of having a 320hp rear wheel drive ford focus. The weight to hp ratio is huge. There wouldn’t be much on the road that would compete in that class.

Ive talked to some owners that have did just that, transform there cars from stock to full blown crazyness!
Here is what they have to say….

“It takes a lot of time, energy and money, but if your willing to put in the time and effort its really fun.”       Frank, Sacramento

“My son and i have done three focuses now,  each beaten then the one before.  Now we own 2 V8 focuses.”   Ken, Miami

“I’m still working on mine, but I’m having fun, and getting a lot done.  It should be done by mid July.”     Brian, Pittsburgh

You can see that there are lots of people looking for something different. Well this is it. There are many diffrent ways to do this. You can put almost any Ford V8 engine in them, most transmissinos wiill fit. The bigger you go the more you have to alter for it to wotk.

Most people have used a ford 302 witch is a 5.0 liter, with a T5 transmission. There are severl diffrent sites you can go to in order to make it a little easier. At these sites you can order the brackets to make it more of a bolt in prosses rather then fabing them on your own, However there is till fabracation to be done.

It takes most people who have done this about 5 months, working mostly after work, to do this kind of project.  “To make it easier, find a doner “Fox ” body mustang.”  A Mustang from 87-93.   Brian from Pittsburgh said.

You can use the engine, tranny, wiring harness, and rear end.  So this way you have all the primary parts that cost the most to buy.  You can find a Fox Mustang anywhere from $500 and up, depending on what you want.

Developed by
Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP) in 2003, the RS8 was a real show stopper at
the 2003 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). FRPP transplanted
their new, aluminum-alloy, 420 HP, 5.0-liter 4-valve “Cammer” crate engine
into a Focus RS. However, in order to adopt this new power plant,
the focus had to be converted to a rear-wheel drive platform.

Ford Vs. Dodge

A buddy of mine and I were just arguing about what truck would be better to plow with.  He drives a new 08 Dodge Quad Cab 2500 short bed, with a diesel.  He runs with a 8-10′ Blizzard Plow.

I ( If i had the money)  Would plow with a F250 crew cab long bed, with a diesel.  The Ford has more HP and torque, better ride, and looks so much meaner. LOL.

The only thing he has to clam is that the dodge sits higher so he can drive over crubs and do larger sidewalks.  That is true, however that does so much damage to the side walk that after even a year of doing that,  the side walk will be cracked and chipped all over.  Side walks are not made for trucks to drive on them.

You pick any vehicle out there to compete against Ford and i will defend it all day.   No I don’t own any new Fords but I can give you all the stats and I will even go to the dealer to test drive to get all the research I can to make it a true argument. Not just opinion’s , I will use facts to back it up.

I think that i might have a stuck valve. Friday I plan on working on my truck, (F150 w/274k), it needs a new thromstat, and exhaust manifold. It should only take about an hour. So after that ill look at the van, and see what i can find out. Ill let you know how it goes.
