This is awsome. FORD SURPASSES HONDA IN INITIAL QUALITY

Ford surpasses Honda in initial quality and remains in a statistical tie at the top with Toyota.
Ford’s initial vehicle quality improved 5 percent over last year.
Ford customer satisfaction continues to improve and is equal to Toyota and Honda.
Ford has five segment leaders: Ford Mustang, Taurus, Taurus X and Ranger, and Mercury Milan.
DEARBORN, April 17, 2009 – Ford Motor Company, continuing its rapid quality improvement, surpassed Honda in initial vehicle quality for the first time and reached new levels of customer satisfaction with vehicle quality, a new survey shows.

Ford is also statistically tied with Toyota at the top of the industry when it comes to initial vehicle quality, according to the 2009 U.S. Global Quality Research System (GQRS) survey conducted quarterly for Ford by RDA Group of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

“This is truly a significant accomplishment for us,” said Bennie Fowler, Ford group vice president, Global Quality. “Honda and Toyota have claimed bragging rights for years, but now we are seeing our hard work pay off. It’s evident in study after study.”

The latest GQRS survey measured 2009 model year vehicle initial quality in two categories: the number of “things gone wrong,” and customer satisfaction with vehicle quality in the first three months of ownership.

In the first quarter of 2009, Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles saw things gone wrong fall by 5 percent to 1,228 per 1,000 vehicles, significantly better than Honda’s 1,422 things gone wrong per 1,000 vehicles and statistically equal to Toyota’s 1,150.

In addition, the survey shows that Ford Lincoln Mercury improved two percentage points to 79 percent in customer satisfaction with vehicle quality, which puts Ford’s domestic brands in a tie with Toyota and Honda for industry leadership.

“Ford’s commitment to quality is really paying off as they continue to rival Honda and Toyota on both initial quality and customer satisfaction with the quality,” said Donald Pietrowski, president, RDA Group.

The following models led their respective segments in the survey:

Ford Mustang – initial quality and customer satisfaction for sports cars
Ford Taurus – initial quality for large cars
Ford Taurus X – initial quality for crossover utilities
Mercury Milan – initial quality for midsize cars
Ford Ranger – initial quality for compact pickups
The new 2009 Ford F-150 recorded quality levels that equate to less than one problem per vehicle, as did the Taurus, Taurus X, Fusion, Milan, and Edge.

Movies With My Wife

Went to the movies with my wife tonight.  We got a baby sitter.  What a great time.  The movie started at 7:30 and we got there at 7:22.  That didn’t matter tho.  We got in bought our tick es and then got our popcorn nachos and pop and still had time to spare.

We went and saw Fast and Furious.  It was good.  Not as good as the previous, but still a good flick.  There was only 4 mustangs in the hole thing.  I personly would rather see muscle the rice burners any day.  But hey As long as we rebuld them and not crush them to each his own.

Spending time with my wife is very nice.  Just time for the two of us to unwind and talk about what ever with out our child yelling in the back round.  I love my son but some times Mommy and Daddy just need time to ourselfs.  Just to talk, and level with each other.

Hope your night was as good as mine.

Happy Easter

Well we didnt do the easter egg hunt at the zoo.  We got there and there was a line 3/4 of a mile long and its only 39 degrees.  Two cold to wait out side in that long of a line.  So we went to the mall.

On the way there we saw two of the best vehicles ever builtby Ford.  We saw an 08′  Grabber Orange Mustang,  with dual black racing strips.  You should have heard that car run, and when he got on it going up peach st the traffic just parted.

The other was a 08 F250 King Ranch, crew cab with a plow hook up.  It was white and tan.  The truck of my dreams.  If only Ford did charity work. LOL.

Ford Ford Ford

Well  Ford is offering $45oo off of 08 mustangs!  Thats huge.  Not to mention that they are also giving $500 military discount and an extra $1000 if you fincace with Ford.  And the best part is they have intrest rates lower then any credit union Ive seen.

My father in law has a 07 grabber orange Mustang.  Its a V6 with the Pony Package.  Awsome car eaven for a V6.  He wants to trade his in for a GT.  With the price of 08’s I cant blam him.

Some day Ill own a brand new Mustang.  Then my wife and I will be able to cruise in style.  Her in the ‘66 and me in a New Shelby. LOL. Ok i cant afford that but hey, I cant afford a GT either, so might as well dream big right? LOL.

That’s the nice thing with the mustang.  You can get into one for about $25000.  And that is a loaded GT.  You know Power everything, with an auto.  Chevy comes back out with the Camaro, but you cant get into one of them for less then $30000, Same with Dodge.  The mustang is affordable and always has been.  Thats way it has been the longest selling model of any car out there.

There is a grat sense of pride and awe when you become a mustang owner.  I have owned 6 mustangs now.  Everyone of them enjoying as much as the next.  In my case financing issues and job cuts force me to sell them.  Some day i WILL buy a brand new one,  and my sons will enjoy it long after im gone.  I konw that the Ford Mustang will carry them through thick and thin.

You say its just a car, I say its a legand.  Some thing to share with family generation after generation!!!
